Plant Controller


Multi-billion parent company in consumer products/Pharma. This is approx. a $300mm operation. Wichita, KS area.

 


Act as lead finance business partner for the operations management team, establishing plant goals, identifying and verifying cost improvement opportunities, linking operational measures, metrics and processes impacting the financials; and driving continuous improvement. Direct the financial planning and forecasting processes, utilizing models and ensuring linkage to operational plans. Responsible for all financial accounting and reporting activities, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures; and individual and team development.

Skills/Experience Education/CertificationBachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance required with a Master’s Degree and or CPA preferred. 7-10 years of extensive background in all areas of manufacturing accounting, specifically in cost, planning and analysis and automated manufacturing systems.  Specific hands-on experience in a manufacturing plant is highly desirable.  Considerable interpersonal contact is required with all levels of management, as well as a variety of people outside the organization.  Therefore, a high degree of human relations skills and effective oral and written communication skills are required.  The incumbent must be results/profit oriented and committed to the attainment of short and long term objectives.

Clinical Coordinator:
 The Clinical Coordinator will be responsible to build and establish the clinical programs for the pharmacy department.  The vision is to decentralize.
Duties include: Precepting/Educating the pharmacists so that they are all doing clinical in the same method; aminoglycosides, pharmacokinetics, dosing...and others. This person should also be qualified to build the Nutritional Support Team and develop the Anti-Coagulation program. Being compliant with JCAHO guidelines is another area of responsibility. Attending clinical meetings and all protocol meetings would be necessary too.

General Responsibilities:

Leads, analyzes, and appraises clinical pharmacy services.
Initiates, analyzes, and reviews monthly and annual reports to include adverse drug reaction reporting to determine compliance.
Coordinates implementation of clinical initiatives.
Oversees safe and appropriate pharmaceutical care for the patients of the facility by developing and utilizing evidence-based and best-practice protocols.
Shares the responsibility for formulary review, drug use evaluations, therapeutic drug protocols, drug information, and development and maintenance of clinical pharmacy services.
Shares responsibility for network and departmental publications, educational programs and pharmacy initiatives.

Serves as a liaison to Nursing and the Medical Staff and works directly with these groups to meet the needs of the department and the hospital. Serves as a resource for clinical services support at the other network sites

Requirements: • PhD in Microbiology, Immunology, Biochemistry, or related discipline. ·        Guides Medical and Scientific Affairs team in support of the US Sales and Marketing organizations.

1. Provides support to US marketing and sales by overseeing all activities of Medical and Scientific Affairs function. Contributes to strategic planning and execution of sales and marketing initiatives across assigned therapeutic areas.
 
2. Oversees strategy for the development of Phase IIIb/IV clinical trials, including interfacing with community though leaders, protocol design and evaluations, in specific therapeutic areas assigned.   Drives projects to completion within budget and on time, and resolves issues within a working group when necessary.  Manages vendors of clinical services.
 
3. Interacts and organizes communication with internal and external bodies, including FDA - CBER, consultants to business unit, Clinical- Commercial (Clin-Com) Review Committee, CROs, on all aspects of company products. Actively drives publication strategy in assigned therapeutic areas to assure timely scientific publications in support of products and disease states.
 
4. Supports Commercial Operations by participating in creation and implementation of product initiatives for current products and analysis of potential new products and line extensions.  Participates in launch planning for new products and new indications of existing products.
 
5. Advances the reputation of company by contributing to the body of medical and scientific knowledge, directly or indirectly; through Medical Education initiatives; through contributions to peer-reviewed publications; and by developing strong relationships with key physicians in assigned therapeutic areas.
 
6. Supports sales trainers in the preparation of written and oral educational materials on relevant topics, on an appropriate scientific level, to be given internally to the sales and marketing departments.
 
7. Functions as strong scientific and medical expert in assigned therapeutic areas, as a resource to customers internally and externally.  Maintains and actively renews medical, scientific and regulatory knowledge by staying current on medical as well as industry research and trends. Communicates to the internal team on product information, including safety, indicated uses and ongoing research.  Functions as a resource for scientific information among constituents externally. 
 
8. Facilitate scientific/medical exchange of information internally for the Medical Information function; and externally deliver emerging scientific and clinical advances through symposia and other medical educational venues, as well as contributing to the scientific literature through abstracts and manuscripts.

Our Client is currently looking for a GMP Quality Assurance Manager/Associate Director for their NY location.
 
Job Scope
The GMP QA Manager/Associate Director manages and coordinates cGMP regulated QA activities. Scope of cGMP oversight is from early stage development through commercial product. Responsible for independently performing domestic and international audits/inspections that ensure compliance with the FDA and other worldwide health authority regulations/guidelines, site SOPs, protocols, and industry standards, as applicable. This includes applying developed skills to assure management that the facilities and buildings, equipment, personnel, organization, methods, procedures, records, reports, and/or controls are in conformance with applicable regulations. Applies developed skills to assure management clinical studies are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations. Provides recommendations for corrective action and tracks corrective action commitments until closure. Will develop and oversee client's quality policies and audit plans for each study. Will work with the Executive Director, QA to align SOPs, policies and procedures with client's Quality Management System. Will act as a compliance resource to client personnel.
 
Essential Responsibilities:
•Independently plans and conducts cGMP audits of manufacturing activities to assess compliance with as well as with company SOPs. Performs batch release activities for products manufactured by third parties.
•Audit and evaluate all third parties, as appropriate, to assess capabilities and compliance with all regulations.
•Work with the Head of QA to assure alignment and compliance with client's Quality Management System, support assessment of compliance and define metrics to determine performance objectives.
•Work with Technical Operations staff to identify, evaluate, and recommend solutions to issues identified in the performance of cGMP audits.
•Prepare clear and concise written reports of audit observations, including an assessment of compliance. Assess adequacy of action plan. Conduct follow up activities as needed to monitor corrective actions.
•Manage all Quality Assurance vendors contracted to perform any functions in support of the cGMP QA.
•Assist with cGMP training internally and externally of investigators and vendors.
•Participate in outside meetings and working groups, assist with assigned projects.
•Maintain professional expertise and knowledge of local and international regulations.
•May participate in special projects, as needed.
