Manpower Professional is looking for a Research Associate with in vitro assay development and experience working with radioactivity responsible for screening and characterizing compounds and developing assay conditions in support of the group's biochemistry.
Responsibilities:
Performing enzymatic filter based screens for multiple viral polymerase targets under established conditions.
Provide data work-up for project teams and written reports.
Document and inventory new compounds
Requirements:
BS in Biological Sciences with experience in "in vitro assay" development.
Strong skill set in standard biochemical, molecular biology techniques.
Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
Experience with computers, databases and MS office.

Med Tech should have experience in performing blood group, type and compatibility tests for transfusion purposes, has analyzed test results, entered findings in computer, performed quality control studies to ensure accuracy of clinical data, has engaged in medical research, performed routine preventative maintenance of assigned instruments and equipment according to established schedule and procedure. Has also verified instrument functioning by checking and calibrating specific lab instruments and documents data. Recorded instrument logs any repairs, replacement and maintenance needed of equipment.This role will require the Med Tech to work in an office environment to translate SOP's for product package inserts onto new condensed templates. Requires at least 2 years experience working as med tech in a lab environment. BS in Medical Technology (ASCP) certified.
