Description   Pharmacy Manager at the City Market pharmacy in Cortez, Colorado.  As the Pharmacy Manager, you will be expected to provide outstanding customer service which will include assisting our patients in proper selection of OTC items as well as accurately dispensing of prescription medications and providing counseling and answering any questions the patient may have. Pharmacy Technician JOB SUMMARY:                              Pharmacy technicians are responsible for performing daily functions of the pharmacy including, but not limited to, compounding, distribution, record keeping, and inventory maintenance under established guidelines that ensure quality patient care.   RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the Director of Pharmacy Services or physicians with the day to day operations of dispensing oral and intravenous medications Evaluate work flow, establish priorities and organize self and workplace Work with insurance carriers to verify payment and obtain prior authorizations Work with QS1 physician dispensing software - input information, retrieve data using scanning devices, label printers and card readers Assist in labeling, filing, dispensing and filling prescriptions Outpatient drug purchasing and insurance billing Maintain stock in drug preparation, clinic and physician dispensing areas Prepare chemotherapeutic agents and IV admixtures Conduct inventories of chemotherapeutic agents and order re-supply Perform drug accountability documentation Maintain accurate and complete records Conduct periodic inspections of stock to ensure proper dating of drugs and materials Other tasks as assigned
